What is Neuro Sleep?

We are happy to welcome Neuro Sleep into our family of sleep aids. Neuro advertises their sleep enhancing drink as a product that can “give you the full night’s rest you need the natural way”. As always, we love seeing these fun, new products that adopt the use of natural herbs and extracts as opposed to harsh chemicals. The reason simply being that Mother Nature is way more forgiving when it comes to side effects. Neuro Sleep is not a product meant to knock you out within 10 minutes but rather a nutritional drink that can provide you with higher-quality sleep so you wake up feeling energized and ready to seize the day.

Although sleeping aids do not typically come in liquid form, we wonder whether Neuro can step up and conquer the sleeplessness battlefield. Beyond the cool branding and stylish bottle design, does Neuro Sleep have what it takes to help insomniacs regain a peaceful snooze?

What’s in it?

Neuro Sleep basically contains 3 main ingredients – L-theanine, Melatonin and 5-HTP. Let’s go over each of these substances in more detail:

  • L-theanine:

This powerful amino acid can naturally be found in green and black tea. It can help reduce anxiety by increasing the release of dopamine (our ‘feel-good’ neurotransmitters) and GABA (our relaxation neurotransmitters).

  • Melatonin:

Melatonin is a hormone naturally produced by our pineal glands to regulate our sleep and wake cycles. Supplements that contain melatonin help to induce sleep, regulate sleeping patterns and even to reduce cluster headaches.

  • 5-HTP (5-Hydroxytrytophan):

5-HTP directly gets converted into serotonin when it reaches the brain. Using 5-HTP as a supplement helps to restore serotonin levels, which increases overall mood, reduces anxiety, and help reestablished irregular sleeping schedules.

What can it do for you?

As we look through the customer reviews available online, we found that NeuroSleep has served as a miracle product for some people. A 21-year old man who has suffered from insomnia for 3 years reported that Neuro Sleep is the only thing that works for him. He usually takes 1/3 of the bottle around 30 minutes before bedtime and then another 1/3 right before he hits the pillow. This method works well for him and typically knocks him out within 20 minutes. He feels refreshed in the morning and with increased mental clarity.

Although there were lots of positive reviews available, some negative ones popped up quite a few times as well. Some people reported experiencing nightmares and extremely vivid dreams (so clear and colorful that “it was scary”). Then again, everyone is different and it would be unfair to label a product negatively based on a few reviews.

Is it safe?

The main side effect that you should experience with this product is sleepiness! Its formula is simple enough that it shouldn’t bring any negative side effects. We recommend that you drink the product in small sips the first time in order to check how your body responds to it. If you feel drowsy and lethargic the next day then discontinue use and consult your physician.

A reoccurring comment that we’ve seen throughout all the reviews is that you should not consume alcohol on the same day that you take Neuro Sleep. This may increase the chances of negative side effects such as irritability, nightmares and nighttime awakenings.

How much is it?

Each bottle of Neuro Sleep costs around $2.50 depending on location of purchase. A month’s supply would therefore be around $75, which is beyond most people’s budget. We recommend that you try one bottle of Neuro Sleep to make sure that it works for you before buying an entire carton of 12.

Final Judgment

Neuro Sleep is a sleep enhancing drink that has allowed many to experience higher quality sleep with minimal interruptions. If you’ve tried prescription medications only to realize that they’re addicting and not worth the side effects, then Neuro Sleep could be a great option. Then again, we understand the impracticality that comes with a liquid form sleeping aid (I mean, what if I wanted to fall into sweet slumber right before a 15 hour flight?), so if you’re someone who prefers low maintenance then pills are for you!
