What is it?
Many of us who struggle to fall or stay asleep know exactly how damaging the side effects of insufficient sleep can be. Whether the root cause of your sleep issues comes from stress, physical pain or psychological issues, taking a good quality sleep aid can finally help you get some decent Zzz’s. Oxy Sleep claims to be an all-natural sleep aid supplement that not only helps you to fall asleep faster but also regulates your sleeping patters. While we hoped that Oxy Sleep would make a good first impression, we quickly realized that the company’s marketing practices were somewhat questionable. For instance, the product’s formula is nowhere to be found and when you visit their official website, you’ll notice a big flashy sign claiming you can get a free trial of the product. Once you click on it, you will be taken to a completely separate site that sells a different sleep aid called Melatrol. Hmm…is it just me or does something smell fishy?
What’s in it?
The only ingredient present in Oxy Sleep that we are aware of is melatonin. And no, the manufacturers have not released the dosage details of that either. Melatonin is a hormone naturally produced in our body that controls sleeping patterns and helps to signal our brains when it’s time to power down. Sleep aid supplements containing melatonin are certainly effective, but the dosing should be somewhere between 1-3 mg in order to ensure safety of use. While there’s a good chance that Oxy Sleep will work, customers have the right to know exactly what they’re taking before buying a product. This is an area that Oxy Sleep could certainly improve on.
What can it do for you?
As we expected, there were quite a few customer complaints posted on the web concerning this product. For instance, Sarah from Amazon.com wrote: “I took Oxy Sleep Pills for about nine months. At the beginning, I was overwhelmed: I fell asleep so easily and naturally. But then I found out that it got my menstrual cycle in a mess (it is delayed and now I menstruate for almost 14 days + the period pains are awful) and that it causes diarrhea. This product is not healthy, don’t buy it – and above all, don’t give it to your children.” One colleague of mine had informed me that he also fell for Oxy Sleep’s mischievous and bought the product. While he intended to try the supplement for about a month, he decided to stop use after 1.5 weeks because he always woke up feeling drowsy and groggy.
Is it safe?
Since the company has not released Oxy Sleep’s formula, it becomes quite difficult to justify whether or not the product is safe. Based on customer reviews both online and offline it seems like the product could cause some unwanted results such as headache, drowsiness, irregular periods, etc.
How much is it?
You can get a bottle of Oxy Sleep via Amazon.com for $29.95, which matches the average pricing for sleep aid supplements. Finally the manufacturers got something right!
Oxy Sleep promises that its all-natural formula will put you to sleep and have you wake up feeling refreshed and rejuvenated. According to various users, however, this was not the case. An online female customer experienced irregular periods after taking the product for 9 months and a colleague of mine reported feeling drowsy the morning after consuming Oxy Sleep. The company has also failed to disclose the product’s ingredients list, which makes it very difficult for us to make a proper evaluation. We recommend that you stop wasting your time with supplement companies that don’t even bother to share their formula – go with higher-quality options and indulge in sweet slumber with a healthy sleep aid instead. Our personal favorite is Luna, not only because it can reduce anxiety and help you to fall asleep, but it also contains ingredients that provide brain-boosting benefits.
